Dr. Paul J. Laurienti

Paul Laurienti, M.D., Ph.D., is the director of the Laboratory for Complex Brain Networks (LCBN), a multidisciplinary group with faculty, students and staff from departments across Wake Forest Baptist Health. The laboratory is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to study brain networks. At the lab, Paul and his team use and develop advanced network neuroscience methods to study normal and abnormal brain function, with a focus on mobility declines and weight loss in older adults, pesticide exposure in Latino children, and alcohol consumption and craving. Paul received both his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

Chris Chafe

Professor Chris Chafe is the Director of Composition Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) at Stanford University.

His fields of specialization include: composition, contemporary music performance, musical signal analysis and modeling, computer networks for audio, new instrument design.

Articles published in various technical journals including Journal of New Music Research, Computer Music Journal, Contemporary Music Review, Proceedings of ICMC, IEEE conferences.
